Hydraulic Cutter van Oord

Dredging Company Van Oord approached Emiel Bleyenberg as they required a Hydraulic Pipe Cutter for the removal of oil pipeline with a diameter of 1.5 meter, which was located on the bottom of the sea in Singapore.
In close cooperation with van Oord’s TD a special Hydraulic Cutter has been designed.  The height and length of the Hydraulic Cutter is approx. 10 meter, it has an empty weight of approx. 150 ton and a cutting force of more than 1000 ton.

The project was very special and it also had to be delivered within 7 weeks.
