Maasvlakte 2 Harbour of Rotterdam

This Block Clamp is specially developed and produced for PUMA by TGS for replacing 20.000 concrete blocks with a weight of approx. 42 - 50 ton in to the sea at the 2nd Maasvlakte by Rotterdam NL.

This civil engineering project jointly managed by Van Oord and Boskalis, reclaimed land for the extension of the port of Rotterdam.  The blocks which were used for the creation of the first defence wall in the early 1930, needed to be lifted out of the water and realigned. 

TGS produced all grabs and clamps for the 2nd Maasvlakte , about 25 in total.
